Всего за право называться самой красивой студенткой МЭГУ соревновались 14 девушек. По словам члена студсовета МЭГУ Евгения Павлюка, проведению финала предшествовали отборы самых красивых студенток на каждом факультете. Студенты сначала выбирали "Мисс Факультета", которая вместе с первой вице-мисс представляла факультет на общеуниверситетском конкурсе. Потом девушек ждал короткий, но очень насыщенный период подготовки. В течение двух недель они изучали искусство дефиле в модельном агенстве "Панна". Каждая из участниц приняла участие в персональной фотосессии для профессионального портфолио от салона "Фотомир".
Во время конкурса студентки соревновались в пяти конкурсах: представление, "Мой конек", выходы в купальниках, вечерних и свадебных платьях. В результате самой убедительной для жюри стала студентка первого курса факультета массовых коммуникаций и информационных технологий Анна Бикус, которая стала "Мисс МЭГУ-2008". Первой вице-мисс стала студентка экономического факультета Ирина Маслей.
